The chart shows the best frequency to use if working from the UK to Australia. The dark green (squares) plot shows the optimum frequency and the light green plot shows the next best frequency to use. These are based on SSB, 100W, dipole to dipole and a "good" reception. Adjust the reliability according to your own station.

There is only one IMD station in Australia as far as I know - VK2IMD Wahroonga, NSW, Australia.
The charts suggest that 15m (21MHz) is your best bet in the morning, falling to 17m in the
afternoon. This is going to be a tough path with very low reliability from the UK.
